Lenovo Vibe X2

The first claimed layered smartphone comes with the wood elements on it which somehow always excites the users. Though the smart devices are better off with full metal or even plastic for better everyday usability and sturdiness, the wooden panels catch people’s fancy for its sheer class and exclusiveness. The Lenovo Vibe X2 does well in this field by offering full-fledged wooden back panel.

Lenovo describes the design of the Vibe X2 as the first layered one, and while it is simply not a very great feature for the mobile users, it is undeniably classy to look at and even feel. The X2 is not only appealing in its look, but also in its rich specs making it an overall attractive latest Android smartphone.

Unlike the other mobile majors these days, Lenovo ditches the metal unibody design and is content with its combination of wood and plastic. However, this device surely looks and feels sturdy and is very sleek as well at only 7.27mm.

The new Lenovo Vibe X2 big 5 inch Full HD screen might not be the most vibrant on the lot, but offers great experience while watching full HD movies. The screen also impeccably displays all your pictures, whether they were snapped using either of the devices secondary selfie snapping 5 MP front camera or the full-fledged 13 MP primary camera on the rear which comes with auto focus feature.

The device performs very smoothly with its 2GHz true octa-core processor along with its 2GB RAM and should offer great 4G experience as well. The Vibe X2 doesn’t offer microSD card slot and offers massive 32GB internal storage and cloud storage.

To top it all, while the great layered design looks best with the wooden plate at the back, the device also offers attractive color choices of red, white, dark grey and gold.

Lenovo Vibe Z2

Among the three latest Lenovo smartphones (Z2 pro included), the Vibe Z2 is the least packed in terms of hardware specs. This one comes with the conventional and highly popular unibody design with great looking metal frame with brushed finish. This one comes with an additional SIM slot on its left side, while and the non-removable storage and non-removable battery are all locked tight within its sturdy body.

The Lenovo Vibe Z2 packs lower hardware specs as compared to its other two siblings and gets 64-bit processor which is quite uncommon with the Android devices. Its 410 Snapdragon chipset clocked at 1.2GHz however offers nice performance and its Vibe UI looks great too.

Price

The new Lenovo Vibe X2 will be tagged at $399, while the new Lenovo Vibe Z2 will be priced at $429 and is already available in China at present. The models will hit the markets of Asia Pacific at a later date, after which these will make their way to the western markets moving to the Middle East market and then to the Eastern European market.

We just hope Lenovo brings these smartphones soon to India, and with attractive prices.
